"I aim for naturally occuring moments of hanging-in-the-air poetry, brutal and graceful alike. What screams to me the most is understated, unnoticed beauty: people lost in their thoughts; when-time-stood-still moments; the forgetfulness of their being in the feather lightness of total immersion; and its opposite, the unbearable consciousness of the full weight of their existence."
Pedro Lima studied Arts and Film in Europe, before moving to South America with his camera. After a stint in the Brazilian movie industry he went on to photograph and film childbirth episodes at private hospitals. He is now based in London, photographing for AWITA - Association of Women In The Arts, amongst other events and personal projects.
